Terms and Conditions

The Fertility & Family Dietitian

This Client Agreement sets out the terms under which services and digital products are provided by The Fertility & Family Dietitian ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the client", "you", "the customer").

By booking, purchasing or participating in any consultation, service, or digital product, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this Client Agreement.

1. Nature of the Service

The Fertility & Family Dietitian provides 1:1 nutrition and lifestyle consultations, delivered online, as well as digital educational resources (such as downloadable guides) available for purchase via our website.

The service and digital products:

  • Are educational and supportive in nature

  • Are based on current evidence and professional standards

  • Do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment

Digital guides in particular are general, evidence-based educational resources. They are not individualised to your personal circumstances and do not replace the assessment, personalised guidance, or clinical judgement provided through 1:1 consultations.

Nutrition advice and digital resources do not replace care from a GP, consultant or other regulated healthcare professional. You are encouraged to seek medical advice where appropriate.

2. Scope of Practice

We work within our professional scope and do not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions

  • Prescribe medication

  • Provide emergency or crisis care

We do not guarantee outcomes, including (but not limited to) fertility, pregnancy, symptom resolution or treatment success.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete and honest information

  • Disclose relevant medical history, diagnoses, medications and supplements

  • Inform us of any significant changes to your health or circumstances

You acknowledge that outcomes may be affected if information provided is incomplete or inaccurate.

All decisions made following advice or guidance remain your responsibility.

4. Practitioner Responsibilities

We agree to:

  • Provide services professionally and ethically

  • Work within our competence and scope of practice

  • Use evidence-based nutrition guidance

  • Maintain confidentiality in line with our Privacy Policy

5. Right to Decline or Discontinue Services

We reserve the right to decline, suspend or discontinue services at our discretion where:

  • The service falls outside our scope of practice

  • Continued provision may pose a risk to the client or practitioner

  • The client does not follow agreed professional boundaries

In such cases, we may recommend alternative or additional support.

6. Booking, Fees & Payment

  • Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed

  • Fees are displayed on our website and are confirmed at booking or checkout

  • Consultation services will not be delivered until payment has been received

  • Digital products (such as downloadable guides) are paid for in full at the point of purchase via our website checkout, and access is provided immediately on successful payment

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling (Consultations)

  • Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice

  • Late cancellations or non-attendance may be charged in full

  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments in exceptional circumstances

8. Refunds — Consultations

This section applies to 1:1 consultations and ongoing services. For refunds relating to digital products, see Section 9 below.

  • No refunds are provided for completed consultations

  • Refunds for unused services are discretionary unless required by law

  • Statutory consumer rights are not affected

9. Digital Products & Guides

This section applies to digital products purchased via our website, including downloadable guides (e.g. PDF format).

What you're buying Digital products are supplied as downloadable digital content (for example, a PDF guide). It is your responsibility to ensure you have a suitable device and software (such as a PDF reader) to access the file.

Delivery On successful payment, you will receive immediate access to download the product. Please retain your own copy of the file, as ongoing access to the download link cannot be guaranteed indefinitely.

Right to cancel Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you would normally have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase. However, because this product is downloadable digital content, that cancellation right is lost once you begin downloading or accessing the file, provided we have obtained your prior express consent and acknowledgement of this at the point of purchase. By completing your purchase and proceeding to download, you confirm this consent and acknowledgement.

Refunds Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned" once accessed, refunds are not routinely available after a file has been downloaded. If you have a genuine issue with your purchase — for example, a technical fault, a corrupted file, or the wrong file being sent — please contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will investigate and put things right, which may include providing a replacement file or a refund at our discretion.

Your statutory rights Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

Updates to digital content We may periodically review and update our digital guides to reflect current evidence and best practice. Unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, purchasers are not automatically entitled to free updated versions of a guide they have already bought.

10. Online Services & Technology

Consultations are delivered online using third-party platforms.

You acknowledge that:

  • Technical issues may occasionally occur

  • You are responsible for ensuring adequate internet access and privacy

We are not responsible for disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

11. Communication & Emergencies

  • Communication outside scheduled sessions is limited to agreed channels

  • Typical response time is 2–3 working days

  • This service is not suitable for emergencies

For urgent medical or mental health concerns, contact your GP, emergency services, or local support services immediately.

12. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Personal and health data are processed in accordance with:

  • UK GDPR

  • Data Protection Act 2018

  • Our Privacy Policy

By engaging in services or purchasing digital products, you consent to the processing of personal and special category data necessary to deliver the service or product.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Fertility & Family Dietitian shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage arising directly or indirectly from the interpretation or use of information or guidance provided, whether through consultations or digital products.

All decisions made following advice or guidance remain the responsibility of the client.

Our total liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall be limited to the total fees paid for the relevant service or product.

Nothing in this agreement limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law.

14. International Clients

Services and digital products are provided from the United Kingdom. You acknowledge that laws and professional standards may differ in your country of residence.

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Client Agreement from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
